Capabilities

3D printing services are available to UW-System students, faculty, staff, and industry, state and federal collaborators. Printers are available for course work, research, and even some for personal use. Access, training and support services vary by equipment.

Where to Print on Campus

College Library
Helen C. White, better known as College Library, provides UW-Madison students, faculty and staff access to 3D printing services on campus.

Grainger Engineering Design and Innovation Lab (Makerspace)
The UW Makerspace has a variety of consumer grade 3D printers available for use by students.

University Housing
University Housing supports their mission to promote creativity and collaboration by providing 3D printing services for their residents at no cost.

Alloy Design and Development Lab
With a focus on metal additive manufacturing, this lab has multiple metal 3D printers available for collaborative research projects.

Digital Publishing and Printing Services
DPPS hosts a service center in the School of Human Ecology, providing students, faculty and staff with access to a 3D printer.
